Abstract

This article brings a short overview of commonly used seismic attributes with their basic characterization. It also discusses the possibility of their application for the hydrocarbon prospection in two different areas. One of them is the Vienna Basin and the other one is the contact zone of the Bohemian Massif and the Western Carpathians (Vranovice and Nesvačilka Trough).
